The Basics

What Is Free-Roam VR?

Free-roam VR is different from the VR you may have tried at home. Instead of standing in one spot and using a joystick to move your character, you physically walk around our arena. When you walk forward, your character walks forward. When you crouch behind cover, your character crouches.

Everyone in your group wears a wireless headset and shares the same virtual environment. You can see each other, high-five, strategize, and work together (or compete) in real time. It is the most immersive form of VR available today.

Why It Feels Different

Home VR vs. Free-Roam VR

If you have a Quest or PSVR at home, you already know VR can be fun. Here is what changes when you go free-roam.

Real Movement

Walk around a 400+ sq ft arena instead of standing in your living room. No teleporting, no joystick locomotion. Your legs do the work.

Shared Space

Up to 6 players occupy the same physical and virtual space. You see each other as characters and interact naturally, not through a lobby screen.

Less Motion Sickness

Because your body is actually moving when your character moves, free-roam VR dramatically reduces the motion sickness that plagues home VR setups.

No Setup Required

Show up, put on a headset, and play. Your game host handles everything: game selection, headset fitting, troubleshooting, and transitions between games.

40+ Games

Shooters, escape rooms, puzzle games, cooking sims, horror, co-op adventures, party games. Switch between games freely during your session.

Wireless & Untethered

No cables dragging behind you. Our Pico 4 Ultra headsets run on 6GHz WiFi so you can move freely without restriction.

What to Know

Before You Visit

How many people can play at once?

Up to 6 players in the arena at a time for most games. Groups larger than 6 rotate in and out. The venue holds up to 25 total guests between the arena and our party space.

How long is a session?

Sessions are 1-hour, 90-minutes, 2-hours, and 3-hours. Most groups book 1.5 to 3 hours. You can switch games as often as you want during your time. Check availability and book online.

What is the minimum age for VR?

Recommended for ages 10 and up. We can accommodate kids as young as 7 as long as the headset fits comfortably. We offer games appropriate for all ages, from family-friendly adventures to intense shooters and horror games for adults. Your game host will help match games to your group.

Do I need experience?

No VR or video game experience required. Most of our guests are trying VR for the first time, and we've had players from age 7 to 85 learn to move and play with no problem. Your game host walks everyone through the equipment and starts you with something approachable before ramping up.

What should I wear?

Comfortable clothes and closed-toe shoes. You will be moving around, so dress like you are going bowling or to an arcade. The headsets accommodate most eyeglasses, but baseball caps will need to be removed while playing. If you have a bun or updo, you may need to take it down for a proper fit — we have hair ties available if you need one. Avoid large earrings or accessories that could interfere with the headset.

Is there a waiver?

Yes. All participants sign a standard liability waiver before playing. It covers equipment use and safety expectations. You can read it when you arrive or ask us to send it ahead of time.
