FAQ - General Questions

  • Yes, we do give tours (by appointment only). Give us a call or send an email to info@EpicAdventuresVR.com to arrange a time. You can also check out the photos on the website and social media to get a feel for the space. And, if you have questions about reserving the space that are not answered here, feel free to reach out to us.
  • Yes! We have games suitable for elementary ages and up. We even have easy games that do not require controllers. As for types of games and ratings, we offer a full range of games from family-friendly games to shooters to suspenseful escape room adventures. You can just tell us what you'd like and your game host will help you select the games and get them started for you. You can also ask us to stop the games at any time and switch to new ones, etc.

FAQ - Free-Roam VR Arena

  • We have a wide variety of game types and genres. You can see a listing of our game library on the Experiences link at the top of the page. Each game listing also shows the number of players that can play and the approximate time it takes to play the game.
  • Of course! Let your game host know what kinds of games you like and they can help curate a list of games you and your guests will enjoy the most. You can always look through our games at any point and let us know what you want to play next.
  • We find that with most free-roam VR games, there is a low chance of getting motion-sick. We use fans to circulate the air and to help you have a real-world reference to help ease motion sickness as well. While most people do not experience motion sickness with these measures in place, it is still possible. We can pause or stop the game for you to allow you some time out to cool down and sit on the comfy couch for a few minutes. We can also try changing the game type to see if that helps.
  • If you are prone to motion sickness, we recommend being well hydrated and you can consider taking something like Dramamine which is made for motion sickness prevention. We can also turn up the arena fans for you which helps a lot. If you are here with a group, rotating out of the arena after each game to rest a little is also a helpful strategy.
  • Yes. The waiver is required by our insurance provider and spells out what happens if anyne is injured or there is damage to the equipment. Overall, common sense should prevail however. If we do something wrong, we will make it right. If there is an accident, we will make sure you get first aid or medical help if needed. If our equipment breaks and it's not your fault, you are not responsible for that. If you do not follow the rules or are negligent and you break the equipment, you will be held responsible. We encourage you to read the waiver before signing it and ask questions about naything you are unsure of.
  • Your game host will go over everything you need to know to keep the equipment and you safe. As long as you follow instructions, there should not be any problems. However, if, for example, you inadvertantly throw a controller across the arena and it breaks, you will be liable for the repair or replacement of the controller (or whatever you break).

FAQ - VR Arena Party Space

  • We are located at 5305 NE 121st Ave Suite 806, Vancouver, WA 98682. Plese keep in mind that we operate on appointments only. If you have a time scheduled, we will always be there of course. But, if you want to come by for a tour or to ask questions, you will need to contact us first. All of our reservations are for private groups so we cannot have other groups come by during reserved sessions.
  • The VR Arena Party Space provides a fun space to host a party. The basic amenities include a restroom, comfortable spectator seating, a coat rack, cubbies for personal effects, a kitchenette (with a microwave and refrigerator), a dining area (table with 6 chairs), a retro console gaming area (up to 4 players, with bean bag chairs), an extra table for food, gifts, etc, a selection of tabletop board games to check out, and a karaoke setup (please request ahead of time if desired).
  • The VR Arena Party Space provides a fun space to host a party. You can sit and relax while you watch your friends play through their VR experiences, take a look at our experience catalog and select one to play next, refuel by enjoying whatever snacks and beverages you brought for your crew, play old-school Nintendo 64 party games (up to 4 players), have your guests participate in some karaoke, borrow one of our tabletop board games (or bring your own) for those not playing VR, play streaming media content to keep people content until it's their turn to play VR again, or throw a dance party using the dance club style sound and lighting effects installed throughout the venue.
  • Nope. It’s up to you how you want to schedule your time. Just let your game host know what you would like to do, and they will make sure you have what you need when you want it.
  • As long as there are not other reservations scheduled, you can ask the game host to extend your time. The credit card you used to pay for the initial reservation will be used to pay for the additional time. The venue is offered in 30 minute increments. The rate fo the extra time depends on the original booking scenario. You can ask your game host what it would cost to extend if you are interested.
  • This depends on what you want to do with the space. The arena can host 4-6 players for most games. There is a spectator couch which sits 3 people. There are 4 bean bag style chairs around the retro gaming console. There is a table with 6 chairs around it. There is a second table that can be used with 6 folding chairs around it. If you use all of the party room areas, total seating is 19 + 4-6 players in the arena. So, theoretically, you could have a total of 25 people, but we recommend a max guest count of 16 or so.

FAQ - Mobile Free-Roam Arena

  • The arena itself requires 20 feet x 20 feet of space on level, unobstructed ground and must be indoors. We bring boundary pieces to mark off the space and add a professional look to the arena. We will also need space for our control station (laptop computer, wireless router, and charging center). We need an electrical outlet for our equipment as well. And, we will need a place to put a table to hold the headsets and controllers when not in use.
  • Many of our popular games last about 8-10 minutes each and we can have up to 6 players in most of the games. Your guests are welcome to play several games in a row or take turns cycling in and out to make sure everyone gets a turn. The game host will move players in and out of the arena efficiently, but it is up to you how you want to manage who gets to play when. So, ultimately, the number of players and the number of games each person gets to play is up to you. If you have a large crowd and want to make sure everyone gets to play for awhile, we can bring two of our mobile arenas and run them at the same time to double the capacity. Of course, we would need twice as much space, etc. If you are interested in having two arenas set up, let us know and we will get you pricing info.

FAQ - Reservations and Payments

  • As long as the time has not been previously reserved, yes. The booking system will indicate what time slots are available. There is a one hour minimum for small groups and most parties will use between 2 to 6 hours.
  • Payment for your event is due when you reserve the time and is done electronically when you check out. If you need special arrangements for the payment, please call or email us at info@epicadventuresvr.com.

  • Our booking software displays dates and times open from tomorrow until 4 months from now. It is always best to reserve your time as soon as you can as someone else may reserve the date and time that you want at any time.
