Game Host Tryout
We're hiring one weekend Game Host. Instead of sitting you down for an interview, we're going to play some games and see who you actually are. Come find out if this is your kind of job.

About two hours. Free to attend. No resume, no interview prep.
5
spots remaining. We're keeping it small on purpose - once they're gone, it's the waitlist.
The job
- Saturdays and Sundays, around 6 hours each day, sometimes more. Start time depends on the week's bookings.
- Extra weekday shifts when we need them, if you want them.
- Run free-roam VR sessions - get groups geared up, brief them, keep the energy high, sort out problems.
- Between sessions: reset the arena, keep gear charged and clean, help with projects.
- Help keep the venue up: clean the lounge and the bathroom, restock, keep things tidy. Our guests walk into a clean venue because somebody cleaned it.
- Pay starts at $18/hr and climbs to $22+/hr once you're fully trained - checked out on the gear, the game library, and running a room on your own.
Who we're looking for
- You like people. Loud groups and nine-year-olds don't wear you out.
- You look for things that need doing instead of waiting to be told. When there isn't a group in, learning the games better is the job.
- You can talk to a room without dying inside.
- You keep your head when something breaks mid-session.
- Games are your thing. VR experience is a plus, not a requirement - we'll train you.
- You know your way around a PC and can think your way through a problem logically. We'll teach you our systems, but if technology frustrates you this will be a rough fit.
- Patience, and actually wanting to be helpful to people. Our guest ratings are perfect because of this one thing.
- No job here is beneath anybody. That includes the bathroom. Everyone pitches in, owner included.
- Bonus: you know your way around social media posting - Instagram, TikTok, Facebook.
